안녕하세요 선생님, 토플 인강 종합반을 수강중이고 선생님 강의를 들으며 얼마전에 토플 시험을 보고 왔습니다. 그런데 스피킹과 라이팅 시험점수가 무슨 문제가 있어 딜레이 되었다고 연락이 왔고, 다시 최근에 중요한 메세지라며 이메일 편지가 왔는데 ..아직 영어실력이 충분하지 않아서 독해도 명확하지않고 뭐라고 작문을 해서 보내야 하는것인지..잘 모르겠어서 일단 제 리딩& 라이팅 선생님께 질의를 드려봅니다.. 두장짜리 편지인데.. As part of the TOEFL iBT® operational procedures, ETS monitors various statistics, including but not limited to, performance consistency within and across test administrations of test scores. If any unusual patterns of scores or responses to test questions are identified, further analyses may be performed and individual scores may be reviewed to eliminate possible validity concerns. As you acknowledged when you registered for the test, ETS has the right to review the validity of test scores, and to cancel questionable scores when we believe there is substantial evidence that they are invalid. Accordingly, ETS’s Office of Testing Integrity (OTI) has recently completed a review of your July 31, 2022 TOEFL iBT® test scores and reached a preliminary conclusion that the review’s results constitute substantial evidence of the scores’ invalidity. We encourage you to read the important information contained in the Why and How Educational Testing Service Questions Test Scores guide located at: https://www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/scores/questioning/. Our preliminary concern is based on the following highly unusual patterns of scores or responses to test questions that were identified in the Response Analyses: ▪ Inconsistent performance on the variable Reading or Listening test section, compared with your performance on the operational Reading or Listening section of the test; and ▪ Inconsistent performance on the operational Speaking or Writing test section, compared with your performance on the operational Reading and Listening sections of the test. At your request, we will send you a copy of the Score Review Summary, which is developed by ETS to summarize our concerns about your scores. If you would like to send us any information you believe addresses our concerns, you now have one opportunity to do so. Please feel free to consult with other people whose judgment you trust, or call us, before deciding what information to send in. ETS’s Board of Review will consider all information about your scores and decide whether there is substantial evidence supporting the cancellation of your test scores. If at least one Board of Review member decides there is no substantial evidence supporting cancellation of your scores, ETS will release your scores for reporting. If, on the other hand, the Board of Review panel determine there is substantial evidence supporting cancellation of your scores, you will be notified in writing and given an opportunity to select one of the options listed below.
